This zone starts north of Lizard Island and runs up to Papua New Guinea. Far Northern reefs are well known for encouters with Sharks (Leopard Sharks, Grey Sharks, Whitetip Sharks, Silvertip Sharks, Hammerhead Sharks, Tiger Sharks, Whale Sharks), large walls and pelagic species.
