Zanzibar - Just made 2 dives in Zanzibar (Kichwani and Kokota on April 10, 2012, very good visibility but no big boys were seen. Still plenty of small and colorful fish, few turtles only.

Tanzania - Most of the dive resorts are based at Zanzibar that is why so many people
speak bout the dive sites of Zanzibar. When you have dived there you know
that visibility is poor, and because of the local large number of
fishermen, fishes are more and more rare. Best dive spots in Tanzania are
based either in the south, border with Mozambique or at Pemba, Latham
Island and Mafia Island. Latham Island is a remote Island, too far for
fishermen. You will meet with Hammerheads, tiger sharks, groupers of
200kgs, etc
